. >> greta: fox news is live in boston with latest on this investigation. mike? >> well, you heard the special agent in charge there saying that they're looking for the public to be their eyes and ears. federal investigators exhausted promising leads and took this step of turning to the public to get new leads and images and they got them. after this press conference was held and new images release they had got even more someone turning images over to our affiliate showing this individual now identified as suspect two in the white ball cap someone described it with a polio cap with a number on the side. standing in that section of the crowd. when you look, you can make out what appears to be a backpack down by his feet that. is concities tent to what the fbi told us is that one individual they described as that we see him going up in front of the forum restaurant before the explosions at 2:50 taking off that backpack containing explosives and setting it down there in the crowd filled with men, women and children. he also said that that individual then left west down boylston street

to a backyard in watertown the first shots of gunfire in the neighborhood holy holy. [gun shots] greta: soon after the neighbors saw and heard around of gun blasts. then the were the suspect was hiding in a boat outside a watertown home. >> a call came in to the police and fbi agents responded to franklin street. and a man had come out of his house after being inside all day he walked outside and saw blood on the boat in the backyard. he opened the tarp and he looked in to see that man covered in blood and retreated and called us. we set up a perimeter around the boat and over the course of the next hour we exchanged gunfire with the suspect and ultimately the hostage rescue team and fbi made an injury to remove the suspect who was still alive. >> talk about the imperative to take him alive. >> brieux's want to take them alive. >> via understand but talk about why. >> we always want to take somebody alive to find out what happened. >> how badly injured? >> the team did try to negotiate him and talk kim but from what i've understand he was not ccmmunicating. >> i don't have that information.

year. greta, you're exactly right. if we cannot get to where this is what guess on instead of sequestration, the american people have a right to be fed up. truth is that many of the cuts that people are upset about are cuts across the board that only slightly touch bad and duplicate programs. in fact, we could save a tremendous amount. a good example is, in fact, the department of defense and those unifoermts. what's the point of having a secretary of defense and a staff if in fact he lets little fiefdoms in parts of the military do their thing again and again? it isn't sexy, but what's interesting is how many times we bought the same mapping programs simply because one agency didn't bother to see if somebody else was already essentially mapping the world. >> or they could go on line and google it probably. don't have to probably go out and hire somebody. >> and -- one of the things that came out was many of these are completely within the authority of the office of management and budget. these are things they simply have to do the job they've been told to do and agreed to

to see you, sir? >> good to see you, greta. >> today the people in britain say they either loved or loathed her, former prime minister margaret thatcher. what are your memories of her? >> put me in the loved camp. i had enormous respect and regard for prime minister thatcher. she was a great lady but a tremendous leader, too. i remember in the early days of desert storm when we were first dealing with saddam's invasion of kuwait, 20 years ago, the president sent me to saudi arabia to talk to king fahd. after the conversation i got his approval, i called the president back in the oval office to get his authorization so i could go ahead and deploy the force. and margaret thatcher was there at the same time in the oval office. and a couple of months later, then i was in london. on my way to moscow. but i stopped in to 10 downing street to pay my respects. it was one of the most fascinating hours i ever spent. she kicked out all staff and kept in me and tom king and talked about what became desert storm and how you dealt with that kind of a crisis, basing her experiences in the falkl
